Candy Campbell is an award-winning actor, author, filmmaker, fine artist… and nurse. Professionally trained as an actor and dialectician, Candy has been a proud SAG-AFTRA member for many years. She has performed on stage, screen, radio, and with two tin cans and a string. After she co-founded an improv and stand-up comedy troupe in the San Francisco Bay area (see downloadable Acting resume), in 1995, Candy began teaching applied improvisational exercises from the arts to business teams. Later, she developed her first two solo shows, which garnered rave reviews in the San Francisco area and paved the way into ASCAP, for writing the original music. Campbell’s third solo show, Florence Nightingale: The Reluctant Celebrity, an internationally acclaimed program, has played off-Broadway, in three other countries, and many US states.  The play is based on Campbell’s reading of Nightingale’s 200 books and articles and numerous letters extant. Her first book about Nightingale, ‘Channeling Florence Nightingale: Integrity, Insight, Innovation,’ expands the Nightingale history and adds the story of Nightingale’s influence on the author’s personal and professional life. Her second book on that iconic woman, “The Amazing Life of Florence Nightingale: The Reluctant Celebrity,” is a minibook (shorter summary) and is available from Tremendous Leadership. (https://TremendousLeadership.com)
